Recast Energy began in 2004 as the former Intrinergy’s combined heat and power business.  Since 2008, the focus of the business has been on superior operation of biomass-to-energy facilities.  Development efforts included build-own-operate, third-party operations & management (O&M), and mergers & acquisitions (M&A).  The geographic focus included continental U.S., Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and Central America.  Recast Energy’s flagship facility is in Louisville, Kentucky with a biomass boiler (converted from coal) and natural gas trim/back-up capacity.

As natural gas supply and prices have changed the landscape for energy and halted new opportunities for biomass, Recast Energy’s management seeks to leverage its base of experience through partnerships or acquisitions in energy infrastructure and industrial services/operations.
